What to look for in an Instructor

 

The DSA introduced the Fleet Trainer qualification to set standards for instructors who specialise in providing this type of training, and help raise the profile of the training on offer to fleet drivers and their employers.

Peter Cary is one of approximately 1,000 qualified ADIs (Approved Driving Instructors) from the register of over 41,000 to hold this qualification.

 

The green badge means that the instructor has passed all the ADI Qualifications and is fully qualified to teach - Peter Cary has this badge visible on his front windscreen

 

 

Trainee Instructors are permitted, under strict rules, to teach learners before they have taken the third part of their exam. The symbol for one of these instructors is a Red Triangle
